Kelli Switzer, LISW, RPT/S from Switzer Counseling Services

Kelli is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in private practice who has over 10 years of experience. Kelli works with the lifespan of individual from infants to geriatrics. It is her goal to provide an environment where you feel safe to share your story and fight the obstacles that you are faced with in order to find strength and healing in your journey.Kelli believes that each individual and family are unique, thus the treatment utilized should be unique as well. She will utilize a variety of different treatment approaches in order to assist you in this journey. Kelli also has extensive experience in treating individuals who have experiences or witnessed a traumatic experience. Kelli utilizes a variety of approaches in working with these individuals in order to assist them in healing from trauma and increasing their ability to manage situations they are confront with, in the future.

Kim Feeney, LISW, RPT/S from Butterfly Beginnings Counseling

I’m pleased to bring my unique balance of experience, expertise, and training to my new private practice, Butterfly Beginnings. Believing all behavior is purpose-driven, I work with parents and children to find alternative ways to meet social and behavioral needs. Since 2013 I have been a Licensed Independent Social Worker and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor since 2014. I attended the University of Iowa and earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Social Work in 2001 when I also began my career. For many years I worked with children in their home settings, providing direct care while also mentoring parents. In addition, I provided services to teens in residential treatment settings. I obtained my graduate degree in Social Work at The University of Iowa in 2011. I have worked in a therapeutic capacity in schools and office settings. Along with the credentials above, I am advanced certified in Adlerian play therapy, a certified EMDR therapist, an Internationally credentialed sand therapist, a certified Synergetic Play Therapist (graduation May 2022), a registered clinician with the Association for Training on Trauma and Attachment in Children, and a certified AutPlay provider. I have also attended training in Theraplay. When I am not in the office or playroom, I can be found reading a book, spending time with family, or watching a sporting event. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Registered Play Therapy Supervisor. I have been in practice in Mason City for the past 16 years. I began my work at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, in 1999, working on the inpatient and outpatient unit. In 2003 I moved to Francis Lauer Youth Services as the Director of Out Patient Services. In 2009 I went into private practice with North Iowa Therapy Associates. Certification in Adlerian play therapy means that you have demonstrated mastery of the skills required to build relationships with clients and explore their interpersonal and intrapersonal dynamics in Adlerian play therapy. It also means you have mastered Adlerian conceptualization of clients, development of customized treatment plans for play therapy clients using a variety of strategies and techniques designed to help clients move toward their therapeutic goals for change. In addition, you have shown proficiency in Adlerian play therapy consultation with parents, family members, teachers, and other significant people in clients’ lives. Jennie Null from the Meraki Institute for Learning

Jennie started her career in the social science field by earning a bachelor of science degree in psychology from Mount Mercy College, Cedar Rapids IA. She entered the profession as a direct care staff serving adolescents in a residential care setting. Jennie continued her professional experience by providing community based services for adults with chronic and severe mental illness. Her goal was to help her clients understand their ongoing diagnosis and develop needed skills and supports that would allow them to lead their best life experiencing wellness & resilience. Jennie has always had a a deep passion for learning and growth. This led her to continue on her own learning journey to pursue a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mount Mercy University. Lifelong learning and growth are at the core of Jennie’s personal and professional values. She has continued to grow in her career as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapy Supervisor. She has completed advanced trainings in Family Therapy, Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and reprocessing(EMDR), impact and treatment of trauma, Clinical Supervision, Restorative Practices, and Leadership.Jennie is an experienced trainer providing expertise in the areas of trauma, resilience, well-being, leadership, clinical supervision, and clinical practice with children, families and adults. Ashley Kolbe, M.S., LMFT, RPT/S from Sampson Family Therapy

Ashley strives to provide competent, compassionate and client-centered therapy services to assist and support individuals, couples, and families in processing past issues, managing daily struggles, and working to make positive choices in the future. She believes that the relationship between the therapist and client is key in the therapy process. She specializes in working with children, adolescents and families to address parenting concerns, depression, anxiety, and stress and anger management. She also utilizes play therapy techniques to allow child clients to express themselves in a manner best suited to their developmental capabilities. Gabby Archibald, LISW, RPT/S from Sampson Family Therapy

Gabby believes in meeting a client where they are in life and uses a compassionate, caring approach and the techniques best suited for their personal needs. She is trained to see a wide range of clients from young children through adults. Gabby has extensive training and passion for working with children using play therapy to address many issues children may not yet be able to verbally process and express. She has extensive training in play therapy and is a Registered Play Therapist and Supervisor. Gabby can help clients with a variety of needs including adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, and behavioral problems.
